. . . We are Eileen, Susan, Annabelle and Ken. Together we are Crossmatch Recruitment. The company was started in 1989 by married couple, Annabelle and Ken. Eileen and Susan have been with Crossmatch for more than 20 years each.
Over the past 30 years, we have developed our own vision of office recruitment. Central to that is avoiding high-volume recruitment. Instead, we work with small and medium-sized clients. They might not recruit all that often – but, when they do, it matters.
Something that matters to us is the independence that comes from being a privately-owned, local agency. It gives us the freedom to relax and be more candid with you, in a way that isn’t always possible in more controlled, corporate environments.
For example, it is common for agencies to tell you in their marketing how they will find you the perfect candidate, or ideal job, every time. Sorry to break it to you, but that is fake news.
If 30 years in the people business has taught us anything, it is that things don’t always go to plan. So, rather than make empty promises, we offer you an approach rooted in reality that is anything but fake.
Our passion for the business is genuine. Had you walked into our office in 1989, you would have found Annabelle, busy filling jobs. Do the same thing today and you will still find her there – still loving it!

Annabelle set up Crossmatch Recruitment in 1989, having worked in the recruitment business for several years for a leading agency. Along with Ken and Susan, she is a consultant, dealing with clients and candidates and handling both temporary and permanent jobs.
Ken McCunn Cert RP
Ken has worked in recruitment since 1982, first of all as a consultant placing accountants, then sales professionals, followed by five years with a national recruitment advertising agency. He handles both temporary and permanent positions.

Eileen is responsible for ensuring that our administration reflects our belief that it should be a vital part of our service, not just a back-room activity. She liaises closely with the consultants to get things right for our clients, temps and applicants. This covers all accounting systems, temp wages, IT and administration.
