Payroll Officer
£10.25 per hour (plus holiday)

An opportunity has arisen for a Temp to Perm Payroll Officer to administer in-house payroll system ensuring accuracy of payments and compliance with statutory requirements.   Varied role to include:

  • Data input of payroll information
  • Assist in development and implementation of payroll processes and procedures
  • Process payroll calculations, transmit bacs and print payslips
  • Provide payroll reports and payment information regards deductions, pensions etc are made on time
  • Check vehicle log sheets, recording mileage as required
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations of payroll control accounts together with preparation of year end reports
  • General ad hoc duties as may be required

Essential requirements for this role:

  • Experience within payroll function
  • Current working knowledge of payroll practices
  • Experience of payroll policies and procedures complying with legislation and best practice
  • Strong numerical skills, confidence of analysis reporting
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and time management skills

A recognised payroll qualification would be desirable together with a willingness to travel within Scotland and have an understanding of voluntary sector.
